Halloween in our Neighborhood

Trick or treat was in full effect this weekend. The kids and costumes were entertaining and the streets were filled with revelers and the usual suspects: MP football costumes, little princesses and a lot of Jasons from Friday the thirteenth.  Probably the most creative costume was a Chinese to go carton complete with noodles! We ran out of candy this year so we won’t make that mistake next year. I think the schools should go back to the policy of no school the next day, much to the dismay of students going home “early” to get ready for a busy week.

The parties were going at Kim and Steve Dicicco’s home and Michael and Trish Shield’s place is always a great venue for the haunted house. The neighborhood has become a destination for many Moorpark residents and it is great to see the kids having fun and feeling safe. My son Anthony enjoys being the  ghost and scaring the unsuspecting souls as they walk by. All in the work of entertainment and being a resident of Moorpark.

Until then see you on Tierra Rejada and LA Avenue with a stop on High street and the sight of Pepper Trees lined along the road.
