Remember Bill Murray in Groundhog Day? Seems like I had that same feeling this past weekend in MP.
So I had some spar time running around the city getting things ready for Halloween. Halloween is very big in my neighborhood. Block parties, haunted houses and hundreds of tricks and treats to be enjoyed by the kids big and small. I spent most of my weekend working with my son getting the goons and ghools ready for just the right trick or treat on that poor unsuspecting child….
Between stops at stores in MP, we stopped in at Carli’s Bistro. My son had the Turkey Wrap and I enjoyed a light and refreshing French style salad. . Who said the French can only make wine. It was great hanging out with my son and enjoying the sights on High Street. Interesting people watching during a Saturday afternoon…
Sunday started out great with a plane ride (courtesy of Scott Sevcik) to Big Bear for breakfast at the local country restaurant Thelma’s. What a treat!
Back to Carli’s for dinner—my son enjoyed it so much on Saturday he insisted we take our family friend to Carli’s again..hence Groundhog Day metaphor. This time we enjoyed the Trip Tip Burrito and yes the Frenchman can make a burrito.
Give Carli’s a visit but beware you may experience Groundhog day sooner than you think. Have a great week and…
Until then see you on Tierra Rejada and LA Avenue with a stop on High street and the sight of Pepper Trees lined along the road.
